I have been on a number of escorted trips, but this one was extra special. I do believe that Belinda is the reason why this particular trip was so special and why it stood out from all the other trips I’ve taken. This was my very first Gate 1 trip and because of how well Belinda took care of me, I will definitely take another Gate 1 trip as soon as possible.
The animals were more spectacular than I even imagined. The peace and justice issues with Mandela’s history were very impactful. There was a lot of bus riding, but the countryside is diverse and beautiful. Our group was diverse but what a well-traveled knowledgeable and fun-loving group of travelers!!! Our guide, Anni, was totally amazing. She was decisive, proactive and left no stone unturned when a problem turned up.
Just wanted to expound on my delightedness of my South African trip. Belinda is a true jewel in the Gate1 crown. She was everywhere at once and made my group’s experience totally wonderful.
