Hyper 20″ Shocker Kids Mountain Bike, Black

This cutting-edge equipment provides a great way for riders to travel faster, farther, and more comfortably than ever before. Certain trails and weather conditions call for different tire pressures. A lot of folks like to drop their tire pressure slightly to achieve more grip on muddy trails and raise it for fast rocky tracks or jump sessions. The difference between those condition-specific pressures is often 1-3 PSI, and it’s important to know how much air is inside the rubber so you can adjust it in the right direction. Loads of riders check their pressure with the palm of their hand, using feel to determine how much air is inside.

That would have been fine, but we had already assembled most of the mountain bike and we didn’t want to repack the entire thing just to ship it out and get another mountain bike that we would have to reassemble. I would give this bike an 7/10 for durability and quality. It loses three points for the small defects and bad customer service from the manufacturer and seller.

Vital didn’t seem to like it, but I swear mine (granted, unlocked, no top speed cap either) is within a breath of being as powerful as a Shimano. I don’t know how accurate the display is, but in B mode I can get it to output a reported hyper mountain bike 580 watts until the battery hits 20%. None the less, the integrated display is a cool concept, but this design is a bit bulky. My bf got mad at me for buying it, cuz he wanted to get him something else.

Recently, there’s been a trickle down, so features previously only seen on LBS [local bike hyper bicycles shop] bikes are creeping into big-box bikes at a fraction of the cost. You also have a large variety of bike choices at big-box stores. There’s usually a bike type for any taste — all on the cheap. As far as capability goes, the mountain bike itself is an easy rider and very comfortable to spend time on riding through the city or on trails. I’m by no means a diehard mountain bike rider, but I did find this bike to be very similar to entry level TREK that I used to have.

The Hyper Havoc FS mountain bike is 26″ in size, it is a 21 speed mountain bike, with Shimono gear shifters. It is well assembled (for the most part) and I don’t think the bike will break or disassemble on me while I ride it. It is an aluminum frame and the tag that was attached to the bike says that it can hold about 275 lbs or so. The Back tire isn’t fitted in place correctly and is slightly too high up on the rear tire axle shaft.

Tire pressure is one of the most important pieces of pre-ride bike setup, and it’s worth playing around with different numbers to find what feels best for you. The biggest problem I’ve seen is improper assembly and setup. Even a big-name bike can give a miserable experience if it isn’t set up properly. And sadly, this is an area in which most big-box stores are lacking.

Bought the Pioneer 12 for my daughter’s 5th birthday – she absolutely loves it! In my case, much of my daily riding happens on commuter/hybrid bikes. Recently, thanks to bikes like the Priority 600 All Road, I am starting to also look at adventure bikes.
